Innovations in mucogingival surgery
Mucogingival surgery particularly improves the aesthetic aspects of the gums in relation to the patient's own teeth and also to implants. These can be caused by gum recession, often in conjunction with abrasion and/or root caries or vice versa. The goals of mucogingival cosmetic surgery may also be to increase gum width and height for dentures or implants and to fill in edentulous ridges.
Salama Sinus-Lift-Kit
The external sinus lift is a procedure to harvest bone after the healing period to allow the placement of implants. Every experienced surgeon knows that detaching the Schneiderian membrane without damaging it can be difficult. Dr. Maurice Salama has developed sinus curettes and a matching set for this case, with which the membrane can be easily detached from the bone without damaging it. The semi-sharp edges of the instruments provide the optimal combination for getting between the membrane and the bone while being gentle on the tissue.
Instruments for Tunneling
Tunnelling is a bone-removing procedure used for grade II or grade III furcation.

How do I keep my high quality instruments in top condition?
USTOMED instruments are designed to last for years! However, the life of your instruments can be shortened if you do not care for them properly. We therefore recommend that you prepare your instruments in a wash sieve to prevent them from being damaged by contact with other instruments or things. USTOMED wash strainers have a high quality stainless steel mesh that is extremely durable and will last for years. So it's worth investing in a wash screen to maximise the life of your instruments!
